Christmas Eve

We decided to open some presents with my brother Mark, and Wife, and their kids tonight.

It was so much fun!

My niece, Alex, decided that she was going to pick out a present for my dad all by herself. No one knew what it was going to be, not even her parents, so we were all waiting to see what she picked and when he opened the gift it was a sparkley heart-shaped key chain! It was the funniest thing ever.

I caught Alexandria making her "excited face" every time she sent a car down the ramp, she makes me laugh.

Every time she gives me five, she yells out, "I love Aunt Jennifer." They are some very cool kids.

The other day I was talking to my bro Paul about a shirt that I wanted. We were saying how great this weather is and how much I love global warming. So I told him how funny it would be if I had a shirt that said, "I love global warming," and there was a smiling sunshine in the background.

He was dying to give me this present. Sure enough, he had the shirt made for me. When I opened it I actually screamed! It's so awesome, and I hope it's sunny out tomorrow, because I'm wearing it.

A Christmas Civil War?

I decided to do some searcing after I heard some stuff on the news today about...

well, you'll see...

— New Port Richey, Fla.: County officials banned the display of Christmas trees from public property and buildings and removed the last of them on Wednesday, a decision that outraged many in the community. On Friday, the Pasco County attorney reversed that ban, saying the Supreme Court had never declared Christmas trees religious symbols.

— Bay Harbor Islands, Fla.: A local resident offered to donate a Christmas nativity scene to be displayed alongside a public Hanukkah exhibit and was at first turned down by town officials. She took the matter to federal court, and the judge sided with her, forcing the town to allow her to put up her display.

— Plano, Texas: A federal judge ordered the Plano school district to let students give gifts that include religious messages — like Christian-themed candy canes — at school holiday parties. Parents had sued this week over the school's policy banning any religious expression in classrooms, though officials said they'd already reversed the policy Dec. 1.

— Maplewood, N.J.: Baby Jesus, herald angels and other religious figures won't be sung about in holiday choral concerts this year, after a few people complained last year that Christian references in lyrics made non-Christians feel left out. To avoid similar problems this time around, the music director decided that all songs representing any religion were to be omitted from the program. Many parents were unhappy with that edict, saying at a recent school board meeting that the policy is based on misinterpretations of school rules. The matter won't be voted on by the school board until January, after this year's holiday concerts are over.

I'm addicted.

I'm admitting it.

I'm an addict.

Addicted to my video game! I can't stop, it's like my hands are aching to play it all the time. With all this spare time I've had it's all I've been doing. I can't be pryed away from it. Instead of hanging out like usual, I'm playing my game.

I'm a little annoyed though, because Smaug keeps roasting me with his dragon breath. I'll get him.

New stuff

I threw on a couple new drawings I did the other day for my deviant art.

C'mon, hit it up.

Everybody's doing it.

No pressure though.

Debbie Downer

I'm feeling like that SNL character Debbie Downer that has nothing but bad news to say.

My last four posts have been a little...depressing.

SO, on a happier note..I get to go back to work, yay! I just don't know when yet. Hopefully this week. The doc called me the other day and told me that there was nothing wrong with my brain. That's good to know.

Her best guess was that I passed out because I don't eat a whole lot of meat. That doesn't make sense to me, I didn't know that could happen. Ok though, whatev. So my mother has been sneaking around and preparing meals that consist of lots and lots of meat. Blarf.

I've been choking that crap down though. I decided that I really don't want a repeat of what happened at work.

seriously though..

I promise I'll write about happier stuff soon. But really, something ate one of my cats!!! Not just any random kitty, this one was my dad's fave, along with everyone else's. Bummer. My dad's too sad to bury her, which means I have to. I've lost a lot of animals but I've never had to bury one, this sucks! Poor little Wylie Kit.

parking ticket

Who gets parking tickets for parking on a residential road at 4:00 AM? I do, of course. I didn't even know you couldn't park on a side road between 3 and 6. I happened to leave a 4:05..

my tests

A while ago I passed out at work, and they wont let me come back until we all know what's wrong with me.

So far, since I've first passed out I've had a EKG, EEG, MRI, and 2 diabetes testing. Yesterday they said that I might have to come back for another MRI. They have to give you this IV, and they poked me eight times trying to get it in my arm with three different people. They only stopped when they realized I was trying to hide that I was crying. Well, it hurt, and I'm one of those "needle" people. At least I didn't have to wear one of those backless gowns, worn by other sickly patients, yuck.

Anyway, as far as my testing they gave me the usual, telling me my glucose is low, and I need to eat meat, which isn't going to happen. I'll get my protien from somewhere else.

My EEG (brain) was nomal, so was the EKG (heart).

I won't know about the MRI until Monday, or if I have to go back..*tear*

I feel like I'm being punished.

sigh

I'm known for being kind of clumsy. I'm always running into a wall, stubbing my toe, tripping, dropping something...sometimes I even pass out, that's the worst one.

My mom says that if there were such a thing as bad luck, then I have it. I would have to agree with her.

What did I do today?

I ripped my bumper off. It wasn't really my fault, the person behind me parked their hitch under my car. Who does that? So when I drove away I heard a crunch. It ripped almost clean off, so I called the boys.

"911"

"Hi, I ripped my bumper off at the hospital."

"well that's private property, so we can't send anyone, but what you can do-"

"no, I really don't have a bumper."

"oh, we'll send someone right over."

"thanks"

My dad insists it's my fault becuase I should have checked to make sure the hitch wasn't under my bumper before I pulled away. Sigh.
