The Door Within

I saw this book for ten dollars at wal-mart a couple of months ago. Ten dollars? Great, so I bought it.
I'm always reading something, usually four or five books at a time. Well I set all of my other books aside for this one, which is rare. It's a young adults book. I admit it, I like to read books made for the younger generation, but I believe we can learn a lot from childrens books.
The story line reminds me of the bible in so many ways! wow. It starts out with this kid (Aiden) who moves to the other side of the country with his parents to live, and take care of his grandfather. He's bored, he has no friends, in fact, he was always different from the kids at his school, call it a dork.
Aiden gets bored at his grandpas, and decides to explore the basement. He ends up finding some ancient scrolls. He reads a story that is written on the scrolls and feels so strong that this story is true. At the end of all the scrolls it is written, "believe and you shall enter." Aiden believes, he enters.
I'll try not to ruin it too much, but there is a king who has a guard (Paragal). Paragal wants to be king...desperately. He convinces others to join him, then he takes the king in the middle of the night, along with some kidnapped people of the kingdom, and he gives the king an option, to remain king, or sacrifice himself to save the kidnapped people. Of course he sacrifices himself.
I'm not quite sure how, I'm only half way through the book, but the king gets resurrected. Paragal, now named Pargor (meaning one of darkness), cannot occupy the castle, he is cast out into Paragory (land of darkness).
This is where Aiden comes in, he enters the door within, and finds himself being chosen by the king himself as the twelfth knight to be sent on a mission to bring the people of distant land to the good king Eliam instead of "joining the dark side" with Paragor. TWELVE knights.
Aiden trains to become a knight, and leaves on the mission. On the adventure, one of the twelve knights betrays the king, and all of the other knights, and leaves to join Paragor.
I can't wait to see how it ends, actually it's gonna be a trilogy. So to sum it up, the king dies for his people, is resurrected, has twelve knights, one of them decieves him...
Here is a quote from the book, "The Betrayer is yet powerful, and does all he can do blind and deceive, so that no one will believe. Perhaps that is why so many people have the story of Alleble, but deem it nothing more that a...fairy tale."
Here is a verse from the bible, 2 Cor. 4:4
In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
One more thing. On the side of Paragor, there is man second in charge..his name is Rucifel, mix those letters around and you get LUCIFER, lol.
